NASHVILLE: Vandy scores first

Vanderbilt's Matt Meingasner lofted a triple over the head of Jared Mitchell in center, and Ryan Flaherty, who had just extended his hitting streak to 23, scored easily.

It would have been interesting to see if Meingasner, not too fleet afoot, could have scored. I think he might have, but with one out and a hot-hitting lineup, Tim Corbin (probably) wisely held him at third.
