OSU-OU: Bedlam Round 2
By Tristan Threlkeld - May 05, 2007
The fans are filing into Bricktown Ballpark with a little over an hour before game time to watch the teams throw the old leather ball around, run sprints, and play a little pepper. For all the non-baseball followers out there, pepper is where five players or so line up next to each other in the outfield and one other player hits a few soft hits at the guys lined up next to each other.
Well the Cowboys have now won seven in a row over the Sooners in Tulsa, but have only won in Oklahoma City thee times since 2004. That would give the Cowboys three wins in six tries.
The start time for this game has been pushed back due to inclement weather, but the game is a go as of now. So on to the starting pitchers for both teams.
The Cowboys and the aluminum assault will look to pounce on Sooner staring pitcher Heath Taylor who sports a 3.61 ERA and a 7-2 record.
The Sooners will look to knock around the Cowboys steady senior starter Oliver Odle. He sports a 5.22 ERA and a 4-4 record.
The Cowboys come into today's game with the Big 12's best hitters. The Cowboys bring a .332 average and also lead the Big 12 in runs and hits per game, and six Cowboy regular starters are hitting .335 or better.
