OSU-OU: Cowboys look to hang on

By Tristan Threlkeld - May 04, 2007

Headed into the top of the ninth, the Cowboys are sticking with Justin Friend to close out the game. The Cowboys look to stop a three-game losing streak.

Tyler Mach to the rescue at second base. Mach made an outstanding jump to grab a line shot from the Sooners Joe Dunigan to get the first out. The hit looked to be a sure fire double if it snuck over Mach's glove, but Mach made the play that possibly saved the game for the Cowboys.

Friend got his (6) save of the season and Brandon Adams won his second game of the year to improve to 2-0 on the year.

Streak snapped and one of the most odd Bedlam games I have ever seen. I have been to a lot of Bedlam games in my time and I cannot remember a game that turned out like this. The Cowboys looked downright beat for the fourth game in a row, but with a couple of longballs to come to the rescue the Cowboys made a miraculous turnaround and got the win.

Final score: 8-7 Cowboys
