OSU-OU: Cowboys take the lead

By Tristan Threlkeld - May 05, 2007

The Cowboys put runners on the corners thanks to a Corey Brown double to start the inning and moving to third off a Rebel Ridling sac fly. Brown has scary good speed for as big as he is, Brown is 6'2" and built like a rock, no other player for the Cowboys could move from second to third on a shallow sac fly to right field, but he did. Matt Mangini was the third batter of the inning and drew a walk to put the runners on the corners. Well Jordy Mercer stepped to the plate to do damage for the second game in a row. He did it on a 0-1 count with a line shot home run to about the 340 mark. The longball was his second in as many games and put the Cowboys up 3-2 to the voiced pleasures of the Orange clad faithful.

At the end of two, Cowboys lead 3-2.
