OSU-OU: Day over for Taylor

By Tristan Threlkeld - May 05, 2007

Oklahoma's starting pitcher Heath Taylor got relieved after facing only one batter in the bottom of the sixth. Taylor was relieved by freshman Andrew Doyle who got Ty Wright's replacement in left field, Steve Ptak, to strikeout. Doyle then got Keanon Simon to ground out into a fielders choice, but walked Tyler Mach to put runners on first and second to face the ever daunting Corey Brown, who leads the Cowboys with 17 homeruns.

Well Doyle walked Brown to load the bases for Rebel Ridling, who has punished the Sooner pitching in the two games so far, but Ridling had no answer for Doyle's slider.

At the end of the sixth, Cowboys lead the Sooners 5-2.
