OSU-OU: Howling wind causing issues

By Tristan Threlkeld - May 05, 2007

Through six innings both teams have been haunted by swirling winds at the "Brick." The Sooners Aljay Davis hit a high infield fly that looked to be a sure fire grab by Cowboy first baseman Rebel Ridling. Well the ball twirled and floated its way over towards second base, then floated back to first. The play was made by Cowboy second baseman Tyler Mach, who made a basket catch to get the first out. That play is one example of the wind factor in Oklahoma City as it blows from Right to Left at about 30 mph.
