SEC: Down The Stretch

By Doug Kroll - May 25, 2007

There was a rather good pace to this game until we made it to the bottom of the sixth, when Florida has made three pitching changes. South Carolina leads things 5-2 as we play in th ebottom of the 7th.

Florida starter Patrick Keating pitched well enough in his first start of his career, going 5 1-3 innings, giving up 8 hits, 5 runs (3 earned) and two walks with five strikeouts. Lefty Steven Porter got the second out of the inning before intentionally walking his last batter of the day. Josh Edmondson came in and walked his only batter (forcing in a run), before Kevin Chapman wrapped up the inning and continues to throw here in the 7th.

South Carolina's Mike Cisco has pitched seven innings of four hit ball, giving up just the two run homer in the frist to LaPorta. He has walked just one, while striking out 8. We go to the eighth, UF in some trouble if they want to keep their postseason hopes alive.
