SEC: Game On

By Doug Kroll - May 25, 2007

The Gamecocks ahve come storming back with a three spot in the bottom of the second. The big blow came from Travis Jones who knocked a single into leftfield with the bases loaded that plated two runners. Harley Lail drove in the other run with a single in the inning. So, 3-2 S.C. is on top as we play in the third inning.

LaPorta's first hit at this Tournament was that long homerun in the first inning. There's no quesiton that he was desering of the SEC Player of the Year title, and the scary part is, who knows what he could have done without the nagging injuries he has suffered through. What's one way to stop him? Hit him. That's what Mike Cisco did in the third to put two men on with only one out. Gators were trying to fight back when Brian Leclerc hit a linedrive to second that was snagged by Jones who flipped to second to double off Cole Figueroa.
