SEC: Great Escape

By Doug Kroll - May 23, 2007

Boy did South Carolina just get out of trouble. With first and ssecond with one out, after a Honecutt walk, Tanner brought in Curtis Johnson to try and get out of it. So what did he prompty do? Walked his first batter. And then went 3-0 on the next guy with no where to put him. But Johnson then got a shallow flyball to center, too shallow to score the runner from third, followed by Jon Townsend staring a called third strike that the Gators were none too pleased about.

So now Carolina is in business, first and third with nobody out, Mullaney is out of the game and lefty David Hurst is into the game for the Gators, as they cling to a 3-2 lead.
