SEC: Heating Up, Settling In

By Doug Kroll - May 23, 2007

The gametime temperature was listed as 72 degrees, and the 10 oclock gametime had a lot to do with that. But as we go through the afternoon here in Hoover, as you can imagine, it's getting hot, hot, hot.

Less than two hours after the start, it's already 82 degrees, with the official weather reading "Smoke Haze." Can't say I've seen that before. The high is supposed to get up to 86 today, and not a real cloud in the sky, just that darn headache-inducing smoke.

Lunch is being served as Tommy Hunter has settled down a bit. He has shut down Arkansas the last two innings, but so has Nick Schmidt.

Arkansas' ace still has a no-hitter in-tact ,and has only thrown 67 pitches through six innings. This could get real interesting. Still 5-0 Hogs as we play in the bottom of the sixth.
