SEC: K's The Lineup
By Doug Kroll - May 24, 2007
Jess Todd has struck out the side...Three times in a row to start off the game. Nine K's in 3 innings, as good as you can get. He's got some filthy stuff early on. Looks like a nasty change, an exploding fastball, and a real nice hook to his breaking ball.
By the way, speaking of the other strikeout king, David Price, scouts had him at 97MPH, and even 95MPH during the ninth inning. Ridiculous. He threw two pitches all day, his slider in the mid-80's and that explosive fastball. About 14 radar guns were in attendance, including the Diamondbacks assistant GM. The D-Backs have the ninth pick, and even he had to admit,"this kid won't be there by then."
Ya think??
Logan Forsythe just launched a homer of the leftfield fence, and it's now 5-0 Arkansas.

The only thing I can find along those lines is the MLB record, and that stands at 11. So some impressive company. Nolan Ryan K'd 8 in a row twice in his career. If i find out the college number, i will let you know
