I understand that they make the banners before they know who will be attending in Hoover, but I find it funny that all four teams that missed out are on the outfield fence, and their banners are behind the stands. Especially that Georgia, Kentucky and LSU are all in a row, with UGa and UK just to the left of the 405' mark in center, with LSU just to the right. That's gotta be tough to swallow for those guys watching from home. But then again, I wouldn't go anywhere near that tv channel if i were them. I'd be bitter. State making a game of it?
Kinda. 3-1 now after scratching across a run in the fifth, but a DP took them right out of the inning. Ole Miss' Zach Miller has led off the sixth with a triple. I'd just like to say I've passed the 14 hour mark at the ballpark and I am no longer liable for misspelled words or anything else along those lines.
Two outs now runner still on third. Great play by State firstbaseman Mitch Moreland to rob C.J. Ketchum of an extra basehit and an RBI. Pinch hitter Fuller Smith then lined out to second to end the inning. Excellent job by Justin Pigott to get out of that jam and keep the score 3-1.
