In the bottom of the 8th, Wayne Hrozek hit a basehit to left with pinch runner Matt Willard on second. Willard rounded third and was being waved home, but an absolute beauty of a throw from Vandy leftfielder Matt Meingasner gunned him down at the plate, with the perfect tag from Shea Robin to end the threat and the inning. Vandy still leads 6-4, heading to the 9th.
