SEC: Settled In

By Doug Kroll - May 27, 2007

Much like yesterday's Ole Miss-Vandy second game of the day, this one has settled in nicely as we play in the bottom of the fourth. After seven combined runs through the first two, there's been nothing since. Vandy's Tyler Rhoden has looked good besides the two bombs he's given up. And Danny Hamblin seems to own him, after that long homerun, he just smashed a shot up the middle that nearly took his head off on an 0-2 pitch.

The crowd is pretty good today, but one would have to think that it would have been much larger of it were the Rebels of Ole Miss playing here this afternoon. Either way, the attendance was down overall average-wise compared to what they are used to around here each year. Can blame that on Alabama going two and out, and having both of their games played at 10am.

Vandy first baseman Brad French made a nice grab just now on a linedrive off the bat of Wayne Hrozek with a runner on first, but he just missed the unassisted DP as Hamblin was able to scramble back to the back.
