SEC: That Ball Is Gone

By Doug Kroll - May 23, 2007

Danny Hamblin of Arkansas just unloaded for his 21st homerun of the season, tying him for second in school history in the single season HR category. It was also his 56th in his career, which is an Arkansas record.

Hamblin drilled a three-run bomb over the leftfield fence, it was Hunter's 65th offering of the day. We'll see how long they stick with him, being at 68 pitches after three and down 5-0 after a run scoring single earlier in the inning by Brian Walker.

Schmidt continues to cruise for Arkansas as he's through four and he's allowed only that one baserunner with two outs in the third, via a walk. Schmidt also has three strikeouts to go along with that.

'Bama's bats may be in some trouble here today.
