SEC: Uneasy Errors

By Doug Kroll - May 25, 2007

Through eight, still 5-2 South Carolina. Jeff Jeffords took over for S.C. for the top of the 8th, and got through it despite walking two batters, before getting Austin Pride to fly out to rightfield.

If UF goes on to lose this game, and this happens to be the final game of the season for them, they can look back at errors as the reason why. Three in Wednesday's game led to four unearned runs by the Gamecocks (and South Carolina won 4-3), while today the Gators have committed two, and in turn, the Gamecocks have scored two unearned runs.

Six unearned runs in two games will kill ya, no matter who you're playing.
