In the bottom of the ninth with Vandy leading 4-3, Commodore closer Casey Weathers started well striking out leadoff man Bruce Edwards but allowed a ground ball single to Luke Greinke. A wild pitch sent Greinke to second.

Three-hole hitter Josh Donaldson sliced a single to right to score Grienke and draw the game to 5-4.

Mike Bianucci who already has two hits including a homer, had a seeing-eye single to left. Two on and one outs for senior Andy Bennett. Bennett followed with a single to left to score Donaldson to tie the game at 5.

Weathers for Robert Brooks to hit into a double play to end the threat.
