Tigers take it right back

In the top of the eight inning the Tigers were put to the test in trying to escape todays game with a win. The Tigers started the inning off with an Aaron Senne walk. Senne scored on an infield single by Evan Frey, Selle moved to third after being sacrificed over on an Kyle Mach bunt.
The Tigers lead 6-5 going into the ninth.
In the top half of the ninth inning the Cowboys needed the Tigers to go down quietly, but Ryan Lollis started off the inning for the Tigers with a deep double to the left center gap. Jacob Priday was the next man to the plate and he took a walk to put runners on first and second for the Tigers Trevor Coleman. On an attempted hit and run, Coleman failed to do his part and Lollis was caught at third for the innings first out. It was no matter to Coleman, he hit an RBI double to score Priday and move the score to 7-5. Jordy Mercer came on in relief of Tyler Lyons, but he gave up two runs and did not make it out of the inning. The Tigers added another run on a Aaron Senne RBI single to increase the Tiger lead to three 8-5. Martin Beno came in for Jordy Mercer to get the last out of the inning.
Looks like the Tigers will be taking second place in the Big 12 and hosting rights to an NCAA Regional.
