UA-LSU: Hogs Threaten, but Don't Score

By Jean Neuberger - May 04, 2007

For a second, it looked as if Arkansas was going to break through.

They had Ben Tschepikow (in for Tim Smalling) at second, and Sean Jones at first. LSU, sensing a momentum swing, had Nolan Cain warming up in the bullpen.

However, the Arkansas threat came up short. Logan Forsythe flied out to the warning track in left, and Casey Coon popped up to shallow center, ending the chance to put the home team on top.

We've finished five innings here in Fayetteville, and Arkansas still trails 3-2.

On a lighter note, tonight is free t-shirt night here at the stadium. The shirt giveaway was sponsored by Pagnozzi Charities, a local charity that was founded by former Arkansas and St. Louis Cardinal catcher Tom Pagnozzi. The charity assists in giving all kids in Northwest Arkansas the chance to play youth sports.
