UA-LSU: Missed Chances
By Jean Neuberger - May 05, 2007
Both Arkansas and LSU had chances to score in the sixth inning, but the defenses clamped down yet again, and we head to the seventh with the Hogs on top 1-0.
LSU had their chance when Jared Mitchell singled and advanced to second on a fielder's choice. However, Jordan Mayer's line drive to left was caught by a diving Casey Coon to end the LSU threat. Meanwhile, Arkansas started off their half of the inning with a double to center by Jeff Nutt. Stephen Robison came in to run for Nutt, but the Hogs were unable to get him in, going down in order after the hit.
Todd just walked the first batter of the seventh, Steve Broschofsky, on four straight pitches. That's got Todd Butler sending Dallas Keuchel to the bullpen...can the Hogs hang on?
