UA-LSU: Roars, then Silence
By Jean Neuberger - May 06, 2007
LSU's Buzzy Haydel hit a single to left field, and Chris McGhee came sprinting home, but was called out at home, sending Tiger Coach Paul Mainieri out of the dugout to argue, while the crowd roared and began to call the Hogs. It looked like Arkansas was about to get a much needed boost of momentum.
The exact opposite happened though, as LSU C Robert Lara smoked a double down the left field line, scoring two runs and pushing the Tiger lead to 5-2 as we are now into the seventh inning stretch here in Fayetteville.
Arkansas has only lost one SEC series this season, and this is definitely not the time to be losing its second. Meanwhile, the LSU dugout is hopping, with fives being slapped and howls of delight echoing through what is a shellshocked Baum Stadium. Maybe the William Tell Overture that's being blasted over the loudspeakers will jolt the Hogs back into this ballgame.
