UA-LSU: SEC Record Attendance For Series

By Jean Neuberger - May 06, 2007

Someone will have to do some serious research to see what the national three game series record attendance is for a campus site, but Arkansas has shattered the SEC's series attendance record. Today's crowd of 9,203 gives the Razorbacks a series crowd of 29,931, breaking the old record of 29,915 by Mississippi State in 2006.

Before you ask how that can be called "shattering" a record, the MSU mark was a paid attendance figure. The Arkansas one was actual attendance....the paid attendance for this series was over 30,000.

Dallas Keuchel is in to finish things for Arkansas, who trails LSU 5-2. A deflated crowd is beginning to leave, sensing this could be only the second series loss for the Razorbacks this year. Meanwhile, what a huge momentum boost this could be for the Tigers, as they head down the stretch in SEC play.
