UA-LSU: Tonight's Attendance: 10,147!!!!
By Jean Neuberger - May 04, 2007
Going into tonight, the all-time record crowd at Baum Stadium had been 10,027. On that day, Arkansas defeated Florida State 4-2 to advance to the 2004 College World Series.
Thanks to adding seats down the first and third base lines, putting six rows of seats behind the bullpen in left field, and adding 20 new skyboxes (bringing the total to 34), Arkansas has broken the all-time record with an actual attendance of 10,147.
Not counting neutral site games, can any school besides Mississippi State compete with that???
We've completed eight innings of play, with the game still knotted at 5. LSU had a serious chance to score, as Buzzy Haydel doubled to start the inning, then advanced to third on a pop-up. However, Travis Hill entered the game to pitch, and he promptly struck out the next two batters to snuff out the LSU rally.
