UA/MSU: Bama wins 9-7

By Mark Etheridge - May 19, 2007

It was first and third no outs as new pitcher Austin Hyatt faced pinch hitter Cade Hoggard. Hyatt threw three fastballs - all strikes to collect the first out.

After getting Hoggard looking, Hyatt caught Marc Goforth looking on a 2-2 heater for the second out.

He tried to get ahead of Jeffrey Rea with a fastball and the MSU senior smacked it back up the middle for an RBI single cutting the margin to 9-7 and bringing the winning run to the plate in Joseph McCaskill. McCaskill grounded out to end it.
