UA/MSU: Bunching their hit

By Mark Etheridge - May 17, 2007

Through three innings, Alabama has five hits and six baserunners. None have scored. Mississippi State has one hit. He scored.

The story has been MSU starter Chad Crosswhite making the pitches to escape trouble. He has gotten popups and strikeouts with men on base and as a result, has a lead.

This is a fun weekend for scorewatching and the folks here and doing their share. MSU is holding out hope for an SEC West title if Arkansas falters while Alabama is hoping to play next week at Regions Park.

1-0 MSU bottom four
