UA-OM: Aggressive Hogs Score First

By Jean Neuberger - May 18, 2007

Arkansas Coach Dave Van Horn had to be stressing aggressive play tonight, as the Razorbacks have come out with some bite. Jess Todd went after the Rebel batters in the first, striking out Jordan Henry and Zach Cozart, and then picking off Justin Henry after walking him.

Meanwhile, the Hogs showed even more aggressive play in their turn at bat. Jake Dugger and Ben Tschepikow led off with singles, but when Logan Forsythe hit a grounder to third, Dugger was thrown out at the plate. Casey Coon then singled to left, scoring Tschepikow, but Forsythe was called out trying to reach third. Coon then stole second, but Brad Secrist struck out to end the inning.

Lots of aggressive base running and pitching from the Razorbacks early tonight, and it's 1-0 Arkansas after one.
