UA-OM: And Just Like That...

By Jean Neuberger - May 18, 2007

If this one holds up, this is got to be one of the biggest choke jobs of all time.

Zach Miller reached on a bobbled ball by Tim Smalling, and then Fuller Smith tripled down the right field line, scoring Miller, and giving Ole Miss its first lead here in the top of the 10th. Brett Basham, who took over catching duties in the eighth, pulled a successful suicide squeeze to score Smith from third, and Ole Miss carries a 3-1 lead into the bottom of the 10th inning.

Baum Stadium sounds like a morgue right now, as the fans are shellshocked at the thought of Arkansas, who was way ahead of the rest of the pack with nine games left, choking the season away.
