UA-OM: Another Missed Chance

By Jean Neuberger - May 17, 2007

Arkansas left yet another runner on third base in the eighth.

After two long fly outs by Walker and Hamblin, Jacob Julius walked and was replaced by Stephen Robison. Robison stole second, and then advanced to third as Brett Basham's throw sailed into center field. However, Tim Smalling flied out to right, and the situational hitting for Arkansas continues to suffer.

I also forgot to mention, not only does an Ole Miss win help MSU and Vandy, it helps the Rebels as well. A sweep of Arkansas gives Ole Miss a share of the SEC West crown, and the tie-breaker edge in the SEC tourney.

We head to the ninth, with Ole Miss up 5-4.
