What Have I Done?

By Elliot Olshansky - May 22, 2007

Mike Loree is going to kill me. Villanova head coachJoe Godri is going to kill me. Hell, my CSTV.com colleague and defender of all things Philadelphia, Bryan Armen Graham, is probably going to kill me.

Cardinals designated hitter Jorge Castillo singled to left to open the bottom of the eighth, and Loree's no-hitter bid is over.

His shutout hopes have just joined it.

This is exactly why you don't talk about no-hitters, and I did.

What have I done?

The Cardinals then pinch-ran for Castillo, and Chris it may have been too muchDominguez bunted him over to second. From there, 'Nova left-fielder Matt McFolling lost a Pete Rodriguez fly ball, nad it dropped down to score Pelaez and put the Cardinals on the board.

Loree retired the next two batters to get out of the inning with just the one run allowed, but it may have been too much. Trystan Magnuson is now on the mound for the Cardinals, looking to close this one out.
