Chapel Hill: Rain, Rain, Go Away
By Kenny Cook - June 02, 2007
Game 2 of day 2 is minutes away. East Carolina, fresh off a 9-8 come-from-behind victory over Western Carolina, will be the visiting team. North Carolina, which shut down Jacksonville 6-0, will be the home team. Dustin Sasser (5-4, 3.44 in 16 starts) will go for ECU and freshman Alex White (6-4, 3.35 in 14 starts) will go for UNC.
East Carolina has a few lineup changes from last night. 2B Stephen Batts shifts to first base, 3B Drew Schieber moves over to second base, and Jake Dean will play third base. Brandon Henderson was at first base last night and is out of the starting lineup today. Corey Kemp, whose big 3 run HR in the 6th inning changed the momentum against Western Carolina, will catch today in place of David Forbes.
The temperature is pleasant but the skies are gray and we may well be visited by rain before this game is done.
Game 1 attendance today was 2,085 and the game took only 2 hours and 26 minutes.
