Chapel Hill: Scoreless First

By Kenny Cook - June 04, 2007

UNC went down in order in the first.

Western Carolina threatened with a two out double by Steven Strausbaugh and walk to Kenny Smith, but Jonathan Greene flied out to centerfielder Seth Williams to end the inning. Williams made a nice diving catch to rob Greene of a hit.

UNC catcher Tim Federowicz somehow busted his chin in the inning, but after a brief delay for a bandage got right back behind the plate.

The seats are not quite full yet, but a lot of fans are standing up under the shaded walkway to avoid the heat and sun.
