Charlottesville: Virginia wins 5-1
By Barney Breen-Portnoy - June 01, 2007
Jake Rule came in for 1 1/3 innings of scoreless relief work to preserve Virginia's win. Lafayette threatened in the top of the ninth but Rule got Bierce to ground out to end the game with runners on first and second. The sky is getting a little overcast. Hopefully the 8 p.m. game (Rutgers vs. Oregon State) will be able to be played.
