Charlottesville: Virginia wins 7-4 in 13 innings

By Barney Breen-Portnoy - June 02, 2007

John Scaglione, David Adams and Beau Seabury hit back-to-back-to-back RBI singles in the top of the 13th inning and Casey Lambert shut down the Beavers in the bottom of the inning to give Virginia a 7-4 win in 13 innings. The game lasted just under 5 hours. Most of the capacity crowd is still here and going nuts.

What a fantastic game!! To think I was on the first row and got to see it all up close and personal. My heart was literally in my mouth on so many occasions. This is what college baseball is all about. 2 teams with passion working so hard to win this important game. My hats off to the Hoos, especially to the 2 Brandons who had to go to the ER after the game for Xrays: Marsh for wrist and Guyer for his shoulder!! Louve, your Brownie Mom
