Columbia, MO: Priday Night Lights
By Jay Dryburgh - June 02, 2007
We've got a good one here in Columbia. Both teams have pulled their fair share of Roger Dorn impressions in the field, but DH Jacob Priday just got into a mistake pitch by Justin Marks to look more like Pedro Serrano. It went deep to left-center in about the blink of an eye.
With a man aboard in front of him, it makes it 3-2 Cards in the 6th.
That brought up catcher Trevor Coleman...
... and Coleman goes yard to the same spot, but forty feet deeper. The solo shot ties it up at 3-3. With the way the crowd has gotten into this game, it's up for grabs and Mizzou has the momentum.
I've liked Justin Marks' stuff a lot, but Mizzou can rake, and they've made him pay for coming in to the four and five hitters with fastballs over the plate.
