Columbia, MO: Two Fly Balls Later, Ballgame Over

By Jay Dryburgh - June 02, 2007

Scooter Hicks gave up a base hit to bring in a run, but then forced Daniel Burton to fly out to left and Isaiah Howes to fly to right.

What a game from CoMo.

The home fans leave happy as their team is firmly in control of their postseason destiny.

Miami gets another chance at U of L tomorrow at 1 PM CST, and Missouri awaits the winner at 6:30 PM CST.

Attendance here was a record 3,630 breaking yesterday's mark of 3,481.

Unquestionably the Offensive MVP was Jacob Priday who homered twice to drive in 3 runs as part of a 2 for 3 day.

Kyle Gibson picks up the victory, and pitched admirably in relief. He went 3.1 IP, giving up 3 hits, an earned run and striking out five.

That's it for a wild Saturday.

Mizzou... 7-8-0
Louisville... 5-15-1
