Corvallis: I can not believe that was a college game

By Casey Grogan - June 10, 2007

Michigan starting pitcher Zach Putnam took a no-hitter into the ninth inning and began the inning with a walk of Beaver outfielder Scott Santschi. Braden Wells entered as a pinch runner and advanced to second on a Lechelt sac bunt. After Chris Hopkins struck out, freshman Joey Wong got the first hit of the game for OSU an RBI single into left field through the infield giving the Beavers the 1-0 victory against the Wolverines.

More to come after I get back to my room, and quotes from the press conference to come.

OSU 1- UM 0

Great game. Putnam is a stud.
