CWS: Okay TV peeps, enough gushing over Oregon State

ESPN is making OSU the most hated college athletic team since the "is this the greatest team in college football history?" 2005 USC team.
Every side story, every dugout report, every additional bonus feature has been about Oregon State tonight. If I see the camera following Darwin Barney to the bathroom, then I'll KNOW it's not just me wondering about this.
Didn't they have anything to show for North Carolina?

This was a truly embarassing performance- by ESPN. As you said, every feature and every family background story was about Oregon State from the get-go tonight. And not just once, but the same stories and "observations" over and over again. ESPN should leave CWS coverage to stations that care enough about college baseball to show games during the season.

Consider it payback for last year. On the last game of the series with Oregon State on the verge of winning its first national championship ESPN cut to the Head Basketball coach of NC and gushed over how great the NC baseball team was. I saw so many shots of blue fans you'd think that no one showed up to support Oregon State. But to be fair, I didn't like ESPN snubbing Oregon State last year, as I'm sure NC fans didn't appreciate being snubbed this year. Professional news networks should just make an effort to show balanced programing.
