Dogs win 8-6
By Craig Jackson - June 08, 2007
Dogs win 8-6 over Clemson. Clemson jumped to an early 2-0 lead, then saw it vanish on a Connor Powers 2 run homer in the 5th. Clemson responded with a 3 spot in the top of the 6th, only to see MSU reply with a 4 run bottom of the 6th to take a leadd that they would never give back.
John Lalor picked up the win in relief, and Aaron Weatheroford got the save.
Attendance was announced at 12, 620......Largegst ever crowd for a SUper Regional. It was only the 7th largest crowd at Dudy Noble Field. Fans in the outfield celebrated the victory and were settling in for a long afternoon of babrbecue and celebration.

Thanks for the note that blogging is not allowed during games. That's too bad. I really enjoyed reading your inning-by-inning reactions last weekend. It made me feel like I was in on what was really going on at 16 different sites. If our Bulldogs continue to progress, a little hooky may be in order over the next two weeks! Big deal. I've worked with innumerable LSU and Tulane fans who've done it. Unfortunately, my two bosses went to UNO!
Best wishes (grudgingly) to the Rebels in Tempe tomorrow!
Sincerely,
Michael in New Orleans
