Fayetteville: Good Start for Razorbacks
By Jean Neuberger - June 02, 2007
Arkansas got their bats going in the first, and they have drawn first blood.
Ben Tschepikow started with a perfect double to the power alley in left center. He advanced to third on a wild pitch from OSU's Joe Kent, and scored on Casey Coon's single that bounced off the pitcher's mound and up the middle. Coon advanced to second on an error by Keanon Simon, but the Hogs couldn't get him home.
Nevertheless, the Razorbacks are doing a good job of getting the bat on the ball, and working the count to make Kent throw a lot of pitches. I've got Kent's pitch count at 21 right now, which is an awful lot for one inning.
1-0 Hogs as Oklahoma State comes to bat to face Jess Todd.
