Fayetteville: What Can Brown Do For You?
By Jean Neuberger - June 01, 2007
Pat Venditte had only given up one run in his last 49 innings pitched. Unfortunately for Creighton, that number has come to a halt.
Corey Brown, the most dangerous power hitter in the Cowboy lineup, sent a missile into right and trotted around the bases for his 20th homer of the season. The OSU players came out to greet him, more relieved than thrilled, and the Pokes now have insurance on Creighton, leading 6-4.
The key to this one late is going to be whether Oliver Odle can go the distance for OSU, or can Creighton chase him out of the game and start hitting the baseball again?
Meanwhile, the Arkansas RBI Girls are dancing on the tops of the dugouts, as the NCAA has allowed them to perform as long as they do not wear any school logos. The RBI Girls didn't get to perform last year, so this is the first time in at least nine years, or perhaps in NCAA history, that a cheer squad gets to routinely perform during a NCAA baseball regional.
