Fayetteville: Odle Survives CU Threat
By Jean Neuberger - June 01, 2007
Forgotten in Venditte's shutdown of the OSU squad has been the pitching performance of Cowboy starter Oliver Odle. The Cowboys are a team with a patchwork rotation and a suffering bullpen, and Odle is giving the Pokes everything they could ask of him.
Creighton managed to get Chris Gradoville to third, as he singled, advanced to second on a wild pitch, and moved up to third on the fielder's choice by Darin Ruf. However, Steve Winkelmann's grounder to short was fielded cleanly this time by Jordy Mercer, and the Bluejay comeback isn't complete just yet.
5-4 Pokes as we head to the eighth.
