Oxford: They didn't stop the game but

By Chris Kieffer - June 02, 2007

Troy shortstop Charlie Calamia just got hit first hit of the year against a left-handed pitcher. It was a single against SHS's Jesse Marshall to put runners on first and second with an out.
Marshall got a strikeout and a bases-loading walk and then reliever Stephen Price got a strikeout to end the threat.
Price is likely the first of many relievers today.
The game is tied at 3 going into the bottom of the fourth and the tie game could make for some interesting late innings. Two of the best closers in the country, Troy's Josh Dew (the national leader in Ks per nine innings) and Sam Houston's Luke Prohoda (national leader in saves, second in ERA) are both fresh. It could make for a great duel.
