Scoring Starts Early

By Kenny Cook - June 01, 2007

Western Carolina leads 3-2 after 1 inning. Here's how things started for ECU starter T.J. Hose: single, walk, wild pitch, hit batter, RBI single, hit batter. A double play and flyout mercifully aided Hose, and his mates picked him up in the bottom half of the inning. Ryan Tousley doubled off the wall in right-center to score Stephen Batts, then Jamie Ray singled to drive in Tousley to keep the game tight.

A huge bee has invaded the press area, so if I don't have any more posts it's because I've been stung and am in the emergency room at UNC Hospitals getting epinephrine. At least they'll have AC.
