Wichita:UNO sends in Whalen to pitch

Leading off the 8th for the Shockers is Damon Sublett. He is out with a catch by UNO's CF, and now up is Brown. Brown strikes out swinging, and up now is Gillaspie. He gets to second base with a hit towards RF. Workman, WSU's DH, is up. Workman gets ball 3 as Gillaspie steals third. Workman gets a single, as Gillaspie runs home for WSU's 6th run. They now lead 6 to 2. Weber comes to the plate, and Workman steals second on a wild pitch. Weber still up at the plate with a 1-2 count, and UNO sends in #24 Stephen Whalen to pitch.

Weber now batting against Whalen. Weber is walked by a hit by the pitcher, and Hill is up to bat. Workman steals third, as Hill gets the second ball. Hill hits it and runs to first, as Workman comes in for the run. Shocks now have 7. Coleman up now, he hits a fly to right field and that is third out.

UNO now batting with Ware at the plate. Ware strikes out, and up next is Bowser. He hits a foul that sends him back to homeplate. Bowser strikes out also, and up next is Joey Butler. Butler is out at first, and the 8th inning is now over.
