Freshman Retribution...Not

By Doug Kroll - February 22, 2008

It's freshman retribution here in the desert. A half inning after freshman John Edgington dropped a fly ball in left for Miami, freshman Adam Eaton drilled a Josh Satow fastball off the top of the right centerfield fence for a triple. It's Miami's 2nd hit of the game, and first hit of Eaton's career. So then it came down to Edgington.

The Cincinnati native stepped to the plate with 2 outs, Eaton on third, with a chance for major retribution. After working the count to 2-2, the 5-foot-10 167 pounder popped out to center field, ending the threat. There will be better days ahead for Edgington. At least he had a shot.

Still 1-0 ASU going to the bottom of the 5th, once again, with Miami outhitting the Sun Devils 2-0.
