Miami Trying To Hang On
By Doug Kroll - February 24, 2008
Miami is desperately trying to hold on here in the bottom of the 9th. Nick Kurash is out of the game, in favor of lefthander Bobby Oberschlake with Miami leading 3-1. Vandy has the tying runs on first and second with nobody out. Oberschlake had a 1.48 ERA in 30.1 innings of work in 2007.
Parker Hanks laid down a SAC bunt down the third base line, it was picked up by Oberschlake and he threw the ball down the rightfield line and out of play. One run scored, making it 3-2, and now Vandy has the tying run 90 feet away, with the winning run on 2nd base and still nobody out. They are intentionally walking Brad French to load the bases.
