Three in the 9th Wins it for Vandy

There's no quit in those Commodores. David Macias singled home two runs to beat Miami 4-3, as the 'Dores put up 3 runs in the inning to bring home the win, and head home to Nashville with a 2-1 record. For the RedHawks, this one has to hurt, as they were in position to win the ballgame, only to see an error severly hurt their cause. They go 0-3 here in the desert, but they should certainly be a contender in the MAC this season.

The winning pitcher is Chase Reid, picking up his first collegiate win in his first collegiate appearance. Bobby Oberschlake is handed the loss.

Coming up next, two Pac-10 rivals square off in a non-Pac-10 game, as Oregon State will face Arizona State in the final game of the weekend here at the DeMarini Invitational. That game starts at 3pm MT.
