Wallace's World

By Doug Kroll - February 23, 2008

Brett Wallace has warmed up. In a big way. It took him a day, but he's shooting up everyone's Player of the Year standings today. After his grand slam earlier, ASU's lead off hitter just hit another bomb, that I don't think has landed yet, and may be in the way of the landing pattern of PHX. ASU has put a crooked number up for the fourth straight inning, and in the process, lead 16-2 in the bottom of the 6th.

Wallace now has 7 RBI on the day, and I have to say (no offense to righties out there), it just looks so pure coming off the bat from the leftside. That ball may have landed on Scottsdale Road, much like Parker Hanks hit one off of the Rio Salado Parkway yesterday.

It's car hunting season in Tempe.

Still plenty of people around here, despite the lopsided score. I don't care what anyone says, when its 65 and in the sun, that feels like about 80 to someone that just came out of highs in the low 30s and snow. So these locals can complain all the want, I'm very happy.
