Wednesday No SEC-cess
Boy would the SEC like to forget about Wednesday in a hurry. Nine teams were in action, five won, and not very handedly at that. Taking a look across the nation for that matter, things didn't quite go as planned for some of the big clubs, including a fourth straight loss for No. 6 Arizona. Not so pretty for the Wildcats at the moment.

Yanks Beat Hokies
In the words of Michael Kay,"Today was not about the score." For those who care, the Yankees beat Virginia Tech 11-0 in 7 innings in Blacksburg today, but it was more about continuing the healing process. The Hokies managed 2 hits off of Yankees pitching, two singles, as Jeff Karstens pitched well for the Yanks.

Walke and Error-fest
If not for errors and walks, the Hokies would be in this game. Two bases-loaded walks and a bases-loaded error are the difference so far, with the Yankees leading it 4-0 after 2 innings. Jeff Karstens seems to have the Hokies overpowered, giving up only 1 hit, a line drive single to centerfield. Va. Tech did get Jason Giambi on a double play in the first, and a long flyout deep to rightfield that without a 25 mph wind blowing in from right kept it in the ballpark. Otherwise it would have been a grand salami.

Yanks vs. Hokies
It's an exciting day in Blacksburg as the New York Yankees arrive to face the Virginia Tech Hokies in an exhibition game. If you remember, the Yanks donated $1 million to the Hokie Fund after the tragedy last spring that took so many lives. The game will be shown on the YES Network, and I'll provide some commentary at times throughout.

Wednesday's Wrap
With college basketball in full conference tournament mode, there's some madness going on on the baseball diamonds as well across the nation. Tuesday saw a ton of Top 25 teams fall, but Wednesday saw things get a little bit back to normal in more ways that one, sort of.

Wednesday's Wrap
Four top 15 teams go down, with a couple of real clunkers. Rice fell for the second straight night, while South Carolina got a taste of its own medicine, and Arizona State just keeps on trucking out in the desert.

Full Slated Tuesday
After such an amazing weekend of action, there's no way Tuesday could live up to the weekend we had, right? Wrong. Rice lost a slugfest, Irvine threw another shutout and Fullerton bounced back after a miserable weekend with a win over UCLA. And there's more.
